As most of you will be aware England had a wee bit of a water problem this summer, not the usual problem arising in hose pipe bans but an excess of water
Many villages in the Midlands were cut off and alot of people were affected by the floods
I reside in Scotland & for a change the weather was alot better than in england
I took a trip south as I have relatives there & there was still alot of water around but it had receided quite alot
The one thing that struck me was that once the water had gone down who recorded the aftermath once the sensationalism had subsided.
I have taken a few photos of what I saw just to show how people are affected by these things & that the effects go on along time after the water has gone down

Another T in the Park over and another great weekend
I attended on the Saturday & the weather was fine infact I actually got sun burnt
No problems getting into the venue as there were few cars on the road due to the car parks being closed because of flooding
First act I saw was the Skids & they were excellent performing the old favourites such as Into the Valley which I was near the front for & was an experience in itself. This was to be there last ever gig & it was good to witness such a good show
A wander round the stalls then off to see the Lostprophets another great set & plenty of jumping around going on
It was then accross to the futures stage to see Reverend & the Makers. Very good & Champion of the World was an experience & great band that should be on the main stage in the near future
Off to King Tuts for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club which gave a rousing set & was well worth seeing
Wandered off the Radio 1 stage to see Amy Winehouse but she didnt show & ended up seein Baby Shambles which was to be hones a shambles with Mr Docherty looking out of it as per.
Over to the main stage again in time for Razorlight absolulty brilliant to see this band at T
Then the headliners The Killers all the usual favourites & the crowd was jumping
Before the end of the killers it was a short walk to the Pet sounds tent to finish the day with a set form Brian Wilson who had a capacity crowd all sing those old surfing favourites
And so another T is over. I didnt try to take video but due to the limitations of my very cheap camcorder none of the footage was any godd so no pics I'm afraid
Now on the hunt for tickets for next year when I am hoping to have a better camcorder
A small rant before I finish. Weekend tickets went on sale on Tuesday after T and sold out in 40 minutes almost imediatlly there were tickets on eBay. Now if people cant go fair enough but there is no way these people had any intention of going & the tickets should be cancelled
Looking forward to next year

I have recently purchased a new DVD player as I was fed up with either watching downloads on my PC or having to muck about converting films to a compatable format for my old DVD player
Having searched on the internet I came accross a site called SVP Communications (svp.co.uk) & they had a player at around £36 including delivery.
It said that it played everything just about & I thought that was the one for me
Being a bit scepticle I waited with anticipation for the arrival of the said gadget.
It arrived & I set it up which was very easy.
It has on the front a card reader & also a USB port & it plays DivX movies.
So I set it up and put a film on a 1gb SD card & put it in the card reader slot
It was fantastic the thing plays everything I can find in all different formats.I havent tried the USB port but I think it should be ok.
If your looking for a cheap plays anything player then you would not go wrong with this one
By the way the make is a Kazuki - crap name great player

I thought I would share my tattoo's with the world.
I have at the moment 7 but I will get the 8th as that will be a balance which I think is important
Right arm is a dragon, this was done in Glasgow about 14 years ago & was my first, underneath is a gap where number 8 will go.
Left arm top is an abstract which is suppose to look like the skin is open. Not too happy with this and may get it covered in the future.
Left arm bottom is a trible skull drawn by a mate & tattoed by my ex wife
On my back is another dragon which was the first tattoo my ex ever did & a trible lion also done by my ex which i still like.
Left leg is a shock absorber which I think is good for a leg. This was done by a tattooist called Spacey in Edinburgh. Very good artist & has won trophies. If your looking for a tattooist in Edinburgh you can't go wrong with this guy.
Right leg is called Destructor paid for by Carol (Fantastic woman) & my most recent tattoo.
As previously mentioned I need another & when that happens will post it here.

Have come across some pictures today that I thought you might like.
This is a warning to everyone
Mixing alcohol, a flat shed roof, a pink inflatable plastic guitar and a sunny day can be dangerous.
A very good evening was had by all, the audience enjoyed theselves but some of the neighbours weren't too impressed.
I'm sure there are more images of this event & some video somewhere but at the moment these items are a very close guarded secret.
The summer is coming & I can hear the shed roof calling for an encoure
